The proposal
Justin Bieber proposed to Hailey Baldwin in the Bahamas in July 2018. Days later, on July 13, Entertainment Tonight published an interview with the man who made the ring.
The couple married later in 2018 in a civil ceremony in New York, and held a larger celebration in South Carolina in 2019.
The ring: what the jeweler said
The ring was made by Jack Solow of Solow & Co., a New York diamond jeweler recommended by Bieber's manager at the time. Solow told Entertainment Tonight that Bieber was closely involved. "Justin was really interactive," he said. Bieber turned down some designs and asked for a longer stone. "We settled on a beautiful elongated oval."
Entertainment Tonight reported the diamond at between six and ten carats. Solow would not give a price, saying only, "It was an expensive ring."

The later rings
The original is not the only ring she has worn. The British jeweler Queensmith, which tracks her jewelry, notes a larger oval that appeared in 2024 around the couple's vow renewal in Hawaii, and an elongated cushion set sideways across the finger that appeared in February 2025. Neither maker has been named, and the sizes quoted for them are Queensmith's own estimates.
It is the 2018 oval that people mean when they ask for a ring like hers.
Why the elongated oval works
An oval carries its weight across a long, shallow outline, so it looks larger than a round of the same carat. The longer the oval, the more it lengthens the finger. Set on a thin band, the diamond appears to float.
