PRIVACY

What we know about you, and what you can do about it.

Buying a diamond means handing over your name, your address and your card. This page says exactly what we collect, who sees it, and how to make us stop, written to be read rather than skimmed past.

You can see it

Ask us what we hold about you and we will tell you, and correct it, or delete it, if you ask.

You can opt out

Targeted advertising and data sharing can be switched off at any time, in one click, with no effect on your orders.

01.

What this covers

Last updated: 2 September 2026.

Rareva Jewels operates this store and website, including all related content, features, tools, products and services (the "Services"). Our store runs on Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you.

This policy describes how we collect, use and disclose your personal information when you visit, use, buy from or otherwise communicate with us. If it conflicts with our Terms of Service, this policy governs anything to do with your personal information.

By using the Services you acknowledge that you have read it.

02.

What we collect

By personal information we mean information that identifies you or can reasonably be linked to you. Anonymous or de-identified data is not included. Depending on how you use the Services and where you live, we may collect:

  • Contact details: name, billing and shipping addresses, phone number, email.
  • Financial information: payment card and financial account details, transaction details, form of payment and payment confirmations.
  • Account information: username, password, security questions, preferences and settings.
  • Transaction information: items you view, add to cart or wishlist, and anything you buy, return, exchange or cancel.
  • Communications with us: whatever you write when you contact us.
  • Device information: your device, browser, network connection, IP address and other identifiers.
  • Usage information: how and when you move through the Services.

03.

Where it comes from

  • Directly from you: when you create an account, use the Services, or contact us.
  • Automatically: from your device as you browse, through cookies and similar technologies.
  • From our service providers: when they process information on our behalf.
  • From partners and other third parties.

04.

How we use it

  • To provide and improve the Services. Processing payments, fulfilling and shipping orders, handling returns and exchanges, managing your account, remembering your preferences, letting you leave reviews, and recommending pieces related to what you have looked at.
  • Marketing and advertising. Sending promotional messages by email, text or post, and showing you advertisements on our site and elsewhere, including based on what you have viewed or added to your cart.
  • Security and fraud prevention. Authenticating your account, keeping payment secure, and detecting or acting on fraudulent, illegal or unsafe activity. Keep your login details to yourself; we will never ask you for your password.
  • Communicating with you. Customer support and everything else involved in looking after your order.
  • Legal reasons. Complying with law, responding to valid legal process, and enforcing our terms.

05.

Who we disclose it to

We do not sell your information for money. We may disclose it in these circumstances:

  • To Shopify, vendors and other providers who perform services for us: IT, payment processing, analytics, customer support, cloud storage, fulfilment and shipping.
  • To business and marketing partners who advertise to you. We use Shopify to support personalised advertising based on your activity across merchants and websites. Depending on where you live, you may direct us not to share your information for this purpose. Opt out here.
  • Where you ask or consent, for example to ship you a piece, or through social login.
  • Within our corporate group.
  • In a merger, acquisition or bankruptcy; to meet legal obligations including subpoenas and warrants; and to enforce our terms or defend our rights.

06.

Our relationship with Shopify

The Services are hosted by Shopify, which collects and processes information about your use of them in order to run and improve the store. What you submit here is transmitted to Shopify and may be shared with third parties located in countries other than your own.

We also use Shopify enhanced features that draw on data from your interactions with our store, other merchants, and Shopify itself. For those features Shopify is responsible for processing your information and for responding to your requests about it.

To understand what Shopify does with your data, see the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy. You can exercise rights directly through the Shopify Privacy Portal.

07.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live you may have some or all of these rights. They are not absolute and in some cases we may decline a request where the law allows it.

  • Access. Ask what personal information we hold about you.
  • Deletion. Ask us to delete it.
  • Correction. Ask us to fix anything inaccurate.
  • Portability. Receive a copy, or have it sent to a third party, in certain circumstances.
  • Opt out of sale, sharing or targeted advertising. Opt out here. If you browse with the Global Privacy Control signal enabled we treat that as an opt-out request for that browser and device automatically, and apply it to your account where we can match it. We do not honour other "Do Not Track" signals.
  • Marketing preferences. Unsubscribe from any promotional email using the link in it. We will still send messages about your account and orders.

Exercise any of these by contacting us at the address below. We will not treat you differently for doing so.

We may need to verify your identity first. You may use an authorised agent, but we will ask for proof of that authorisation and may still verify your identity directly. We respond within the time the law requires.

08.

Security and how long we keep it

No security is perfect and information in transit is never fully safe. Please do not send us sensitive or confidential details over unsecured channels, and remember that we will never ask for your full card number by email or message.

How long we keep your information depends on whether we still need it to run your account, provide the Services, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes or enforce our policies.

09.

Children

The Services are not intended for children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of majority where they live. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has given us their information, contact us and we will delete it.

As of the date of this policy we have no actual knowledge of selling or sharing the personal information of anyone under 16.

10.

Other sites, transfers and changes

Links to other sites. Where we link out, those sites have their own policies and we are not responsible for their content or security. A link is not an endorsement.

International transfers. We may transfer, store and process your information outside your country. Where we move data out of the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom we rely on recognised mechanisms such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, or their UK equivalent, unless the destination has been found to offer adequate protection.

Complaints. Contact us first. Depending on where you live you may appeal our decision, or complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes. We may update this policy for operational, legal or regulatory reasons. The revised version appears here with a new "last updated" date, and we give notice where the law requires it.
