Refund policy
Buying a diamond you have only seen on a screen takes some trust. So: thirty days to return anything standard, a prepaid insured label, and a refund within ten business days. Below is exactly how each of those works, including what costs money and why.
Returning a piece
You have thirty days from the day it arrives to change your mind about any standard piece — no reason required, no questions that feel like an interrogation.
To be eligible, the piece must come back as it left us: unworn, undamaged, with its tags and original packaging, and with the receipt or proof of purchase.
Write to support@rarevajewels.com to start. Once we accept the return we email you a prepaid shipping label and tell you exactly how to pack it. Please don't post anything back before asking us — parcels that arrive unannounced can't be accepted, and an uninsured diamond in the mail is a risk nobody should take.
Engraved and customized pieces
Most jewelers refuse these outright. We don't.
A piece that has been engraved, personalized, resized or otherwise made specifically for you can still be returned within the same thirty days, subject to a 10% restocking fee on the purchase price. That fee covers work that can't be undone — an engraved band cannot be sold to anyone else.
Engraving and personalization themselves are free, whether chosen at checkout or requested within 24 hours of ordering.
Fully bespoke commissions — pieces designed from nothing for one person — are the exception and cannot be returned. We will always tell you before you commit if a piece falls into that category.
Canceling an order
Within 24 hours of placing it: cancel free, for any reason. Nothing has been cut or set yet.
After 24 hours: a 10% cancellation fee applies, because by then a diamond has been allocated to you and a bench has started work.
If it arrives wrong
Open the box and look at it properly. If the piece is damaged, defective, or simply not what you ordered, tell us straight away and none of the rules above apply — no fee, no restocking charge, no argument. We will put it right.
Exchanges
Within the first thirty days, the fastest route is simply to return the piece and order the one you actually want. That way you are not waiting on two processes at once.
Beyond thirty days and up to twelve months, we still exchange. The original piece comes back for inspection, a 10% restocking fee applies on the original price, and any difference in value is settled after we've seen it. The new piece ships once that is done.
Refunds
We email you the moment your return arrives and has been inspected, and tell you plainly whether it was approved.
Approved refunds go back to your original payment method within 10 business days. Your bank may then take a few days more to show it — that part is out of everyone's hands.
If fifteen business days have passed since we told you a refund was approved and you still cannot see it, write to us and we will chase it ourselves.
European Union orders
If your piece is shipped into the EU you have a statutory 14-day cooling-off period to cancel or return for any reason, with no justification needed. This runs alongside our own thirty-day policy — you get whichever is more generous, which is ours.
The same condition applies: unworn, original packaging, proof of purchase.
Where to send it
Only ever after we've confirmed the return and sent your label:
Rareva Jewels
15 West 47th Street, 10th Floor
New York, NY 10036
You are also welcome to bring it to us in person. The showroom is on the tenth floor and someone will handle it while you wait.
