Black Friday
Black Friday and Cyber Monday jewelry 2026: how to buy well
Black Friday is the busiest jewelry weekend of the year, and the one with the most ways to buy badly. This guide is about judging what you see, from anyone, before you pay.
The dates
Thanksgiving is Thursday, 26 November 2026. Black Friday is Friday, 27 November, and Cyber Monday is Monday, 30 November. Most jewelers run offers across the whole weekend and into the first week of December.
Will it arrive for Christmas?
For us, yes, with room to spare. Every Rareva piece is made to order: 3 to 4 business days to make, then 4 to 5 business days to deliver in the US or 5 to 9 internationally. A piece ordered on Cyber Monday, 30 November, is delivered by about 11 December in the US and by 17 December internationally. The real cutoffs are 10 December in the US and 4 December internationally, so the Black Friday weekend is early, not late.
Ask the same question of any jeweler. Ready-stock sellers ship fast; made-to-order sellers vary from days to eight weeks.
Five things to check before you pay
1. The grading report. For any diamond of 1 carat or more, ask for the IGI report number and look it up on the lab's website. A discount on an ungraded stone is a discount on a number nobody checked. Every Rareva diamond of 1 carat and above comes with an IGI report, with the number laser-inscribed on the girdle; smaller stones, including accent and pave diamonds, are not individually certified. Our report guide shows what to read first.
2. The return window, counted from delivery. A gift ordered on 27 November and opened on 25 December is four weeks old. A 14-day window has already closed. Ours is 30 days from delivery for standard pieces, with a prepaid insured return label.
3. The compare-at price. A 60 percent discount from a price nobody paid is not a discount. Compare the sale price to what similar pieces cost elsewhere, not to the crossed-out number. Our 2026 price guide gives market averages by carat.
4. Metal and stone, in writing. 14K or 18K, platinum or white gold, lab-grown or natural, and the carat weight. If the listing is vague, the piece is.
5. Resizing and engraving. If the ring arrives the wrong size, who pays? Ours are resized free within 30 days of delivery, and engraving is free.
Spend the saving on the piece, not the discount
If a sale frees up budget, put it into the thing that changes how the piece looks every day: a better cut grade rather than a higher carat, 14K gold rather than plated silver, a bezel setting that protects the stone. See how to buy an engagement ring without being sold to.
What we offer
Any offer we run over the Black Friday weekend will be on this site and in our emails. Whatever the price, the piece is the same: a lab-grown diamond from our own reactors, IGI certified from 1 carat, set by hand in New York, shipped free and insured, with 30-day returns and a lifetime craftsmanship warranty.
