Lab grown ruby is corundum, the same mineral as mined ruby, with the same hardness of 9 on the Mohs scale, so it wears well in rings and bracelets as well as earrings. Ruby is the July birthstone and the traditional 40th anniversary stone. Lab grown emerald is beryl, the same mineral as mined emerald, with the same deep green and a hardness of 7.5 to 8, so it is happiest in pendants and earrings and in protective bezel settings. Emerald is the May birthstone and the traditional 20th anniversary stone.

Every stone is lab grown: the rubies and emeralds, and the accent diamonds, which come from our own reactors. The accent diamonds are under 1 carat each and are not individually certified. Each piece is made to order in New York and ships free and insured worldwide, with 30 day returns. For Christmas delivery, order by Thursday, 10 December in the US or Friday, 4 December internationally.
