Diamond jewelry is one of the few holiday gifts people keep for life. This guide covers what to give for Christmas and the holidays, which pieces are safe when you do not know a size, and the dates to order by so everything arrives in time.

Order-by dates for Christmas

Every Rareva piece is made to order in New York: 3 to 4 business days to make, then 4 to 5 business days for delivery in the US or 5 to 9 business days internationally.

United States: order by Thursday, 10 December.
International: order by Friday, 4 December.

Shipping is free and insured on every order, so there is no reason to pay for a faster service.

The whole season, with order-by dates

Every piece is made to order, so each date below is the last day to order for delivery in time. US dates assume 4 to 5 business days of delivery after making; international dates assume 5 to 9.

Halloween, Saturday 31 October. Too close for a made-to-order piece. An order placed now arrives in the first week of November.

Thanksgiving, Thursday 26 November. Order by Thursday, 12 November in the US, or Friday, 6 November internationally.

Black Friday, 27 November, and Cyber Monday, 30 November. Anything ordered over the weekend arrives by mid-December. See the Black Friday and Cyber Monday buying guide.

Christmas, Friday 25 December. Order by Thursday, 10 December in the US, or Friday, 4 December internationally.

New Year's Eve, Thursday 31 December. Order by Wednesday, 16 December in the US, or Thursday, 10 December internationally.

Valentine's Day, Sunday 14 February 2027. Order by Monday, 1 February in the US, or Monday, 25 January internationally. See Valentine's Day gifts.

Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Cyber Monday

Thanksgiving falls on Thursday, 26 November, with Black Friday on 27 November and Cyber Monday on 30 November. Anything ordered over that weekend is made and delivered well before Christmas, in the US and internationally, so it is a good moment to choose a gift without the last-minute rush.

Gifts that need no sizing

If the gift is a surprise, choose earrings, a pendant or a necklace. Diamond studs are the classic: they go with everything. A solitaire pendant is the easiest diamond to wear every day. The adjustable bolo bracelet closes with a sliding bead and fits any wrist.

Smaller gifts

Silver pieces are the most affordable way to give real diamonds: small studs, huggies and pendants in gifts under $500 and gifts under $200.

Returns and engraving

Engraving is free. Any standard piece can be returned within 30 days of delivery; engraved or personalized pieces carry a 10 percent restocking fee. The 30 days run from delivery, so if you order early, keep the date in mind.
